On the character selection page you can choose which characters you want to practice. You can select Hiragana, Katakana or both at the same time! Your selection is automatically saved after a checkbox is pressed.
After selecting you can move on to learning. A character is being displayed and you have to type in the correct Romaji characters for the Hiragana/Katakana.
This practice mode displays Romaji characters, for which you have to select the right Kana representation. After you get something right or wrong you get a display of your past choices.
My teammate and I were searching for a project for our Web development course. Since
we are both in the same Japanese language course, we thought this was a great opportunity to get
to learn Web development and Japanese at the same time.
I worked with JavaScript to make the application logic happen.
I was really happy when my colleague had the idea to make make this Web app.
We both joined the same beginners Japanese course and it was really fun. After some planning we
decided to make this our project for our web development course.
I chose to make the
design and layout for this project with some little JavaScript to make it dynamic.
